Customer support assistant (20 hours)

In that case, we are looking for you! A Little Lovely Company, an international kids-lifestyle design brand with roots in the Netherlands, is looking for an enthusiastic Customer Support Assistant to answer questions with a smile, process orders and ensure a smooth customer experience. What does your day look like?

You start your day with a fresh cup of tea or coffee and an inbox full of questions from customers and distributors. You are the lynchpin between them and our organisation - no question goes unanswered and no problem goes unresolved. Whether it's a consumer with a return request, a distributor who needs extra information or a B2B customer who needs help placing an order; you know exactly how to help everyone in the best possible way.

You look beyond the question per se; you investigate the underlying cause of the problem and find appropriate solutions that work for both the client and the organisation. You then communicate these solutions in a clear and professional manner so that the customer feels heard and helped.

In between phone calls and e-mails, you help process new orders and customer registrations in Shopify, make sure all data is correct and arrange the administrative handling of returns and credits.

No two days are the same, but one thing is for sure: you make sure our customers always hang up with a smile.

What you will be doing:

  • Answering questions, discovering problems and providing appropriate solutions.
  • Handle customer queries by phone and email.
  • Processing orders and customer applications in Shopify.
  • Handling returns, credits and service orders.
  • Managing facility issues (such as replenishing office stocks, liaising with external cleaning company, etc.).

Your strengths:

  • Customer-oriented and empathetic - you know exactly how to help customers in the best possible way.
  • Strong communication skills; a good command of English and Dutch is a must (both spoken and written). Knowledge of other languages such as German or French is an advantage - you can switch effortlessly between different conversation partners.
  • Solution-oriented and stress-resistant - you keep a calm mind, even when it is busy.
  • Extensive experience with customer service and/or administrative tasks - preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Skilled with systems and administration - experience with MS Office and order processing systems is a must.
  • You show initiative, are precise and have a healthy dose of perseverance.
  • At least MBO+ working and thinking level.
  • A proactive team player with an eye for detail and a hands-on mentality.

What we offer:

  • A diverse position within an enthusiastic and creative team.
  • Market-based salary between €2,500 and €3,200 gross per month (on a full-time basis, depending on experience).
  • Pension plan via Nationale Nederlanden and a travel allowance.
  • 200 holiday hours per year (on a full-time basis).
  • Training opportunities to develop yourself further.
  • This 20-hour position is spread over 4 or 5 days, allowing you to work flexibly and always be readily available to our customers
